How do I open an account?

Welcome to a new era of banking! The process of applying for a PODERcard Debit bank account is quick and simple, taking only a few minutes of your time. Please follow the instructions provided below.

Steps to open your PODERcard Debit bank account

Step 1. Download the PODERcard application on your cell phone. Open the app when the download is completed.

Step 2. This is the screen you'll see at startup.

Next up, select your language:

On the next screen, you'll have the option to create a new account, log in, or select the option to retrieve your password. Click Create Account to start the process of creating a new profile.

Below you will see the steps to follow to request your PODERcard Debit card, tap on Begin.

Step 3. On the next screen you'll have the option to create your username and set your password. As an example, if your name is Juan Perez, you could choose a username like juan.perez or jperez.
After entering this information, click Continue.

Note: If you already have an account, click the link at the bottom of the screen that says Login.

Step 4. Next up, the system will ask you to set a mobile unlock code. This is a 4-digit number that will allow you to quickly log into your account each time you use the application.

Make sure to confirm your code by re-entering it. 

Step 5. On the following screen you'll need to enter your mobile phone number. You will receive a verification code via text message.

On the next screen, enter the number you received via text message.

Step 6. Next you'll find the option to activate alerts. It is highly recommended that you do so in order to receive real-time updates on account activity.

Step 7. Aftert his you'll need to choose the option to verify your identity that suits you best. You can choose between identifying yourself with your passport, your ITIN or your Social Security Number. Enter the corresponding number on the screen that appears, and click Continue.

Step 8. Enter your first name, last name, date of birth and email address on the screen that appears below, and click Next.

On the next screen, enter your address and click Next.

Confirm that the address is correct, this is where the debit card will be sent, so make sure it's current and accurate. 

Step 9. Once this is complete, you'll find the Terms of Agreement. After reading them, click the green buttons on the left side to accept each of the three points. Click on Next to proceed. 

Step 10. You're done! You will then see a welcome message to PODERcard Debit. Your card will arrive in the mail within 5-7 business days.
