For payments to individuals or companies residing in the United States there's another option - send personalized checks by mail. You can, for example, send rent checks to your landlord, or send a small gift to a family member.
How does it work? Personalized checks are printed with your name and address. They are shipped through the United States mail, so payments cannot be sent to any recipient outside the country.
Steps to send money with checks
Step 1. Log in to the PODERcard mobile app and click on the “Payments” tab. Then click on the Send Funds at the top right and you'll see the "Send Checks" option.
You will see the option to send checks on the following screen. Click "Send a check"
Step 2. You'll then need to add the recipient by clicking on "Add Payee"
Step 3. On the following screen, you'll need to enter the recipient's information. They will ask for their name, phone number, address, city, state, and zip code. When you finish entering this information, click "Save."
Step 4. Next you'll see all the information you submitted before you, if you are satisfied with the information, then click "Send Check."
Step 5. On the following screen you'll need to enter the amount to send and a note for your beneficiary. Once you've submitted this information click "Next"
Step 6. In this last step you'll need to confirm all the information you entered. To confirm, click "Confirm", to change any details click on "Edit Payment".
Step 7. If you select "Confirm" you'll see a confirmation message.
If you want to cancel the scheduled payment simply click on the name of the beneficiary for that option.
Important Note: Delivery times may vary but, normally, it take around 5 business days. Consider these deadlines when planning your payments to avoid any setbacks.
