Frequently Asked Questions
When will I get my direct deposit through Atomic?
It may take 1-2 pay cycles for your paycheck to be deposited in your PODERcard account.
If I already had a direct deposit with another bank, what happens to my deposits before the PODERcard Atomic Direct Deposit is enabled?
Any previous direct deposit information will remain untouched until the change is accepted in your employer’s payroll system.
Does Atomic Direct Deposit offer a split pay option?
Yes, Atomic supports the option to split your pay between other bank accounts.
What payroll providers let you split your earnings to multiple banks?
If you wish to split your direct deposit to multiple banks, Atomic currently supports fractional deposit as an option for 12 of the top 20 payroll systems.
Please note that if fractional deposit is not supported for your payroll provider, you can only deposit 100% of your income to your PODERcard account when using Atomic.
The current fractional connectors are:
- ADP
- ADP Workforce Now
- Amazon AtoZ
- DFAS myPay
- Employee Express
- Gusto
- MyEPP
- OneWalmart
- OPM Retirement Services Online
- Paychex Flex
- USPS
- Workday
If I switch my direct deposit to Atomic, do any prior bank percentage splits apply? For instance, if I had an even split between Wells Fargo and Bank of America, and then put 30% to PODERcard, is the remaining split between Wells Fargo and Bank of America 35%?
In most payroll systems, the user's current setup would not be 50% / 50% but would have 1 account listed as 50% and another account listed as the "remainder" account. In this scenario, we are simply adding another allocation for 30% which would leave the user with: Acct #1 = 50%, New Acct = 30%, and the rest in the account already listed as the remainder.
In the scenario where there is no remainder account, Atomic would not know where the user would like to pull the 30% from and fail the task for distribution-not-supported. The user would then receive an SMS and email from us.
What happens to my direct deposit if I work at a different company?
If you are no longer employed by the company where you set up your direct deposit, you will no longer receive payment in your account. If you are employed by a new company, you will need to set up direct deposit to your PODERcard account using ASAP Direct Deposit or through Atomic.
Does Atomic work for gig payments?
Yes! Through the Atomic Direct Deposit feature, you can set up direct deposit payments through your ride-share or food courier jobs (e.g. Uber, Lyft, Doordash, etc).
